EarthCraft House – Building Green
EarthCraft House,™created in 1999, is a residential green building program of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association in partnership with Southface. This program serves as a blueprint for energy- and resource -efficient homes.
Laurel Brook Lodge is proudly built to EarthCraft House specifications and is anxiously awaiting full certification. The builder is hoping to receive “Platinum” designation, the highest and rarely awarded level.
We recommend that ALL houses be built to EarthCraft House specifications.
We also recommend both owners and builders become familiar with the free information found at Building Science Corporation. There’s much to learn about envelope design, water shedding, roof and attic design, HVAC, etc.
